A slope-parallel field design is a farming technique where crops are planted along the contour lines of a slope, rather than up and down the slope. This method helps to reduce soil erosion by slowing down the flow of water and allowing it to infiltrate the soil. By following the natural contours of the land, slope-parallel field designs also help to conserve water and nutrients, leading to improved crop yields and overall sustainability. **
